MIDI AirPiano PDF Print E-mail

This is a MIDI AirPiano. It's designed by Award winning musician Jo Hamilton. It's a controller that uses IR beams at various levels. It will work using controlling note data OR patch and part data for programs such as Ableton Live. Absolutely brilliant in it's design. Watch for how the man using it places his hands at different distances from the controller to get even more variations on the sound (or playing varied samples. Truly an amazing device and one I think we'll catch with more "tech" minded bands. If you'd like to get your hands on one you can buy a prototype at www.airpiano.de. Enjoy!

Saturday, 19 March 2011 08:48

Hi folks. Here's instructions on how to make your own DJ midi controller using raw parts, an HID interface, and where to get HID to MIDI software.    The controller this guy put together costs about $100.00 once completed.     If you want to make something custom or just unique, the interfaces he suggests are the way to go.  You could even take an old telephone (and I'll put in the video at the bottom) where someone has done just that.   It's a great way to trip out your studio.

It seems the future is finally upon us. As more and more people are becoming multi-taskers we've had to find more and more creative ways to achieve this same goal.  When man went from the washboard to the washing machine it seemed life couldn't get any better.  Well take a look at this.  How would you like to reach people who don't have have time to read or create a stronger impression in the mind of your readers?

Science teaches us that people retain more from a hearing presentation than reading.   And with many of the people you wish to reach these days listening to podcasts at work, on the bus, at the gym, in the car and trying to catch up on news between dinner & daycare pickups, the need for an audio presentation becomes even more important.
